We have had a fantastic bank holiday weekend! The cottage has been brilliant for our two young children. Toys/stairgates/biscuits on arrival. They have enjoyed having "sleepovers" upstairs and using the binoculars to spot wildlife. There has been a very friendly (well fed) squirrel on the bird table.
You have been fantastic hosts and we would highly recommend this cottage to friends and family. Lots of exploring and lots of fun!

Clare, Shaun, H & E,

We have had a lovely time here at the Lodge. We've particularly enjoyed being amidst such a beautiful setting. Paul, our three dogs and myself have discovered some wonderful places, and have walked many miles in truly beautiful surroundings. A word to the wise - it would be a good idea , in our opinion to provide additional lighting to the rear door area that leads to the courtyard.
An amazing starry sky by the way and the dog tags are a super idea, thank you

Note from the owners: " the rear light to the courtyard garden was temporarily disconnected following the replacement of the rear door just before the arrival of these guests. It is now back in place and the area is well lit"

Helen, Paul and Kizzy the dog,

We enjoyed staying at Great Hills Lodge in the nice sunny warm weather. Thank you for the lovely fruit scones, they were beautiful and the eggs too. It was lovely and clean everywhere.
Nice to meet John and Claire. It was our first time here.

Michael, Mary and Paul,

"Me and my children just loved staying here, my boy has autism and the calm surroundings kept him at ease.

Lisa W,

I cannot express enough how much I recommend this beautiful lodge. Claire and John have really thought of everything down to the cream tea on arrival. We went for 4 nights and it was so peaceful and relaxing. We took our little boy who turned 2 while we were there and our dog. Our son loved looking out for the sheep, lambs and birds. Short journey to Bude and we loved the beach and will definitely be back for warmer weather.....5stars 😍 xxxx

Kayleigh ,

Thank you for a very relaxing stay. We had a fab New Year. The Lodge had everything we needed, the walks are great and the beaches, yet again, fab.
Thank you again for the lovely welcome and the scones. We loved the birds on the feeder which gave us so many laughs.

Lisa H,

We had a wonderful 4 day break here, a perfect base for exploring North Cornwall!
The Lodge is fantastic, very well equipped and a beautiful peaceful location.
Thanks for the fresh eggs and the cream tea too!

My daughter, her three dogs and I had a lovely week here. THe cottage was delightful and very well equipped. I came over from Australia to visit her and spent time exploring Cornwall. Particularly loved Boscastle.

R & R,

Thank you John, Claire and Jasper for the warm friendly welcome. The cottage is a cozy, peaceful haven - home away from home, with amazing views. The scones, jam and cream were absolutely yummy and Sooty the dog says thank you for his doggy treat basket too.
He has had a wooftastic time here!.
Our first time in Cornwall and we visited Boscastle, Widemouth Bay, the Eden Project and Bude. All lovely places. Lots more to see and explore so hope to visit again in the future.

Daljit,

Such a lovely little cottage with stunning views and so close to the sea! Widemouth Bay, Tintagel, Boscastle.
The steam train and Otter park in Launceston are also must dos as well as the fish and chip van (in Week St Mary on a Thursday and in Marhamchurch on a Friday) and the Bullers Arms pub in Marhamchurch.
Lovely owners and dog Jasper, couldn't ask for more

Matt,

This is a perfect place to spend a break. The Lodge is perfect, as is the scenery. Claire and John have thought of everything, even the dog!
The cream tea (and doggy pack) are a wonderful welcome to three weary travellers, Thanks again

Paula,

Sheep, cows and birds, oh and the odd tractor, that is the only traffic noise we've heard. Absolute bliss!
Beautiful lodge, idyllic surroundings and lovely hosts.
Cornwall, our favourite place on earth, and staying here has made us fall in love with it just a little bit more!
Thanks Claire, John and Jasper

John and Claire, you are so lucky to live in such a wonderful place! What a view and the peace and quite has been wonderful for our grandson. Being autistic he sometimes needs tranquillity and your holiday home has been perfect. We have all loved watching the birds and laughing at Grandad’s failed attempts to photograph the Woodpecker! Our grandson loved meeting the animals and was thrilled by the bats in the evenings. We don’t get to see him very often and it was lovely to see the pleasure he got from the location. He loved Tamar Otter Park and got to hand feed wallabies! Thank you for the cream tea and the warm welcome after our interminable journey. Oh and easily the most comfy bed Bob and I have had in over 18 years of staying in holiday homes! Thank you in spades

Antony,

We had a lovely stay here in August. The house, garden and location were perfect for us and our two dogs.
The wifi and smart TV were greatly appreciated by our teenagers.
The owners were very discreet but on hand if we needed any help.
Fantastic, thank you.

Sharon from Scunthorpe,

We looked for accommodation for one night. In the little village shop they said “sorry, nothing”. Put Modern smartphone with Googly said there is a nice. And then we found a very warm welcome for one night. IT was really good. After 30 miles on our cycle trip it was like heaven on earth. Thanks for all and we wish you all the best.

Barbara,

First thank you John & Claire for being so thoughtful. It was home from home because of all the extra details you included. The scones were lovely as were the free range eggs. Even the dog’s welcome basked was a lovely kind thought, Gemma says Woof Woof, meaning thank you. The cottage cannot be faulted, very comfortable and clean with lovely view. Thank you for everything
Graham, Marta & Karen

Graham,

We booked this break simply on one view and it did not disappoint! Especially from the living room window and the added pleasure of watching all the different birds visit the bird table! We couldn’t resist topping up the feed with fat balls from the local store! Thank you John for your recommendation to visit Widemouth Bay it was really dog friendly and we all enjoyed it! We found the cottage a fab location to explore plenty of areas around Cornwall such as Hartland, Potrthleven, Padstow to name a few!. Oscar (the dog) adores the beach which is the main reason for visiting Cornwall year after year I have to say the beach at Padstow was his favourite, so calm and shallow. The basket for our furry companion and welcome pack are lovely touches and we really enjoyed our cream tea. Thank you for such a warm welcome.

Katy,
